But bloated overated epics tend to win the day with the academy.Jeffrey Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04923435451049982632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6907198.post-1139656481084084642006-02-11T05:14:00.000-06:002006-02-11T05:14:00.000-06:00Ugh -- Cimarron is one of the worst best picture c...Ugh -- Cimarron is one of the worst best picture choices of all time. As you said, there were lots of better choices for that time period. I haven't seen its fellow nominees East Lynne or Skippy and it's probably a draw with Trader Horn, but The Front Page is so superior to Cimarron and Trader Horn that it is tragic that it lost. Then again, the Academy has always resisted comedy.Edward Copelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12463676135131274426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6907198.post-1139656371899205582006-02-11T05:12:00.000-06:002006-02-11T05:12:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Edward Copelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12463676135131274426noreply@blogger.com
