I was COMCARGRU 3 Ops Off...I agree with benroethig. I was COMCARGRU 3 Ops Officer on Enterprise. We were conduting 3 carrier ops with Midway and Coral Sea near the Aleutians in April 1983. When our visibility went to zero, we diverted all the attack birds to Japan after refueling from a KC-10 tanker but there wasn't enough fuel for the F-14's.
