Farewell Koizumi

Since 2001, Junichiro Koizumi has been a strong prime minister for Japan, when the Japanese direly needed a strong leader. He's also been a steadfast American ally. He started Japan on the long road of economic reforms and the even longer road of modernizing Japan's national security stance to reflect current realities. Hopefully his replacement, Shintaro Abe, will be able to continue the work that Koizumi has started. Regardless, Koizumi's presence will be missed.

He's a gangster. No wonder him and Bush got along so great. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Koizumi.
