When faced with the option of admitting a mistake or wearing a clown nose during the evening news, Dan Rather would rather wear the nose

"If the documents are not what we were led to believe, I'd like to break that story," Rather said in an interview last night.”

A little late for that Mr. Rather. Can you believe this guy? He’s about the last newshound on earth to “break the story”, and if you read the rest of the story it’s clear that he’s still in denial. His recent arrogance is beyond baffling.

"The audience appears to [be] polarized," a top CBS source said from LOS ANGELES on Thursday. "Rightly or wrongly, we're being perceived as 'anti-Bush,' which I do not think is fair to Dan, who is a fine journalist...”

Rightly or wrongly? Try rightly.
